Recently widowed, once-famous Broadway actress Karen Stone moves to Rome for a new life. It comes as a nightly cost when she's introduced to Paolo, an Italian with a penchant for silk ties and lonely, wealthy women. Aware of his motives, Mrs. Stone nonetheless falls hopelessly and desperately in love.
