Thomas Cantly stumbles into the palace on the run from his violent dad. He's spotted by the young Prince Edward, who realises that both boys look identical. On a whim, they swap identities. With no royal duties, Edward has a ball, but Thomas is quickly mixed up in imperial intrigue with Edward's devious uncle.
