Dylan O'Brien stars in Wes Ball's dystopian sci-fi adventure, based on James Dashner's bestselling young adult novel. The Glade is a large and seemingly idyllic area of verdant beauty. However, it is encircled by an extremely high wall in which is a single opening that leads into a maze, and even this apparent exit shuts every night and the maze is inhabited by murderous creatures. Each month for three years, a new teenage boy has been disgorged into the Glade. They have formed a community, with each new Glader offering whatever skills he has for the good of all. The only thing obviously uniting them, apart from their predicament, is their amnesia. The latest arrival is a 16-year-old who will eventually remember that his name is Thomas. He joins the fleet-footed maze runners, who brave the dangerous labyrinth, and his actions within the shifting walls will have a dramatic impact upon the Gladers; as will the arrival of the first-ever girl.
