This simplistic action-thriller, released in 2006, stars former World Wrestling Entertainment champion John Cena. A man with impressive powerhouse credentials, Cena's WWE nickname - the "Doctor Of Thuganomics" - gives a good clue as to what to expect from The Marine. This is an unashamed, all-guns-blazing, gung-ho action fest, that does exactly what it says on the tin.
Marine John Triton (Cena) is discharged from duty in Iraq after disobeying orders to save some fellow soldiers. He returns home to the US and to his gorgeous wife Kate (Kelly Carlson). The couple decide to grab a little quality time together and head off on a wholesome camping trip, but a gang of diamond thieves on the run snatch Kate and take her hostage. Little do they know they've got a one-man, ass-kicking colossus on their tail, who wants his wife back at any cost...
