It's 1869, and lawyer John Reid is returning to Texas on the new rail line when he saves Comanche Indian Tont from convicted outlaw Butch Cavendish.
Deputised into the Texas Rangers by his brother Dan, Reid joins a team of lawmen out to bring Cavendish to justice, but events take a dark turn when Cavendish rips out and eats Dan's heart, loosing a 'spirit walker' in John that will protect him in battle.
As John and Tonto pursue black-hearted felon Cavendish across the state, local rail tycoon Cole and his nefarious money making schemes threaten to destroy everything John and Tonto hold dear. Facing attack from two enemies, John and Tonto take the law into their own hands and embark on a crusade to take them both down.
