Two years after their eventful excursion to Las Vegas, Stu (Ed Helms), Phil (Bradley Cooper) Doug (Justin Bartha) and Alan (Zach Galifianakis) are celebrating another impending wedding. With Stu set to marry his fiancée Lauren (Jamie Chung), the boys are heading out to Thailand for his bachelor party, accompanied by Lauren's younger brother Teddy (Mason Lee).
After a few drinks by the bonfire, however, they wake up in a filthy hotel room accompanied by loosecannon gangster Leslie Chow (Ken Jeong). Phil has a face tattoo, Alan has a shaved head and all that seems to remain of Teddy is a severed finger. With his whereabouts a total mystery, the confused clan must try to piece together what happened the night before as they desperately try to track him down.
The Hangover director Todd Phillips looks to repeat a winning formula, delivering a virtual carbon copy of his smash-hit original. With the same cast and similar beats hit, Part II doesn't have the same capacity to surprise as the first, but there are still plenty of laughs to be had. With another string of memorable set-pieces, this hilariously outrageous follow-up caters perfectly to those who are looking for more rude and raucous scrapes and japes.
