The English Teacher (2013)

Geeky English teacher Linda Sinclair (Julianne Moore) has devoted her life to her pupils and her love of literature, but her day-to-day is shaken up when former student Jason Sherwood (Michael Angarano) arrives back in town.

Jason had hoped to make it as a playwright in New York, but after being chewed up and spat out by the Big Apple, he's returned to Pennsylvania, where an encounter with Linda prompts her to use his script for the next school play.

However, things get complicated during production when Linda becomes entangled in the lives of both Jason and his father Tom (Greg Kinnear).

Moore gives a fun performance in this light comedy drama, which represents the debut feature of established TV director Craig Zisk (Parks and Recreation, The Big C, Weeds).
