A losing gambler owes $100,000 to the Shangri-La casino in Las Vegas. To pay off his debt, he's used as a 'cooler': someone who sits next to winners and uses his bad luck to stop them. He's almost debt-free when he falls for cocktail waitress Natalie Belisario and his luck improves.
