The Brother (Joe Morton) is a black alien slave who has escaped to Earth. When he crashes in a modern New York City he is about to change his life forever, and perhaps the lives of everyone on the planet.
While mute, strongly empathic, and able to fix things with peculiar regularity, he looks like a regular guy with ugly feet.
His attempts to make a place for himself in his strange new surroundings makes us realise exactly how peculiar our society is today.
Meanwhile, two Bounty Hunters arrive and try to track down the Brother...
