An adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's tale of grave-robbing in 19th-century Edinburgh. A doctor buys corpses from Gray, a menacing procurer of cadavers, who turns to murder to maintain his supply - delivering the body of a young woman hours after the doctor has seen her alive. Realising the error of his ways, the medical man attempts to dispose of the grave robber, with macabre results.
