The Bigamist (1953)

Ida Lupino directs and stars in this noir romance as Phyllis Martin, one of the two wives of bigamist Harry Graham. When Graham and his other wife decide to adopt a baby, the agency's investigations bring Phyllis's existence to light and, through flashback, Graham tells the story of how he ended up married twice. Lupino was one of Hollywood's first female directors and is largely credited with paving the way for other women to get behind the camera.
