Zane Ziminski (Charlie Sheen) is a NASA astrophysicist. Whilst working he happens to pick up some strange signals from outer space.

Believing these signals to be from extra-terrestrial, intelligent life, he reports his findings to his superiors. Now he has been fired, due to a highly skeptical boss.

Still thoroughly believing these to be true alien signals, Zane teams up with a colleague and the two continue to investigate the signals on their own.

However the plkot thickens when they also discover similar signals being emitting from Mexico. Desperately anxious to discover the source of these transmissions, Zane embarks on a trek to Mexico and the horrofic realisation that awaits him.
