The heroes in a half shell return in this smash-hit ‘Turtles’ reboot.
The villainous Shredder has taken over New York and his so-called Foot Clan are responsible for a crime wave across the city. Where there’s a story, intrepid reporter April O’Neil (Fox) is on the scene, along with her trusty cameraman Vern (Arnett), but she gets a scoop she could never have predicted when she meets four walking, talking, butt-kicking mutated turtles who have emerged from the sewer to save the city.
With Hollywood execs no doubt scouring every possible avenue to find their latest potential reboot, it’s probably about time the Turtles made a comeback. Notwithstanding a 2007 animated effort, it’s more than 20 years since they were last on the big screen and with motion capture technology at his disposal, Liebseman (Wrath of the Titans) can do away with men in dodgy turtle costumes to bring this fun franchise to a whole new audience.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a Film programme that first aired in 2014 and has been classified a 12 certificate.
