A stunning Disney animation triumph with a mix of musical numbers and magical romantic moments.
Captured as a baby by a wizened old hag, beautiful princess Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore) has been locked away in a tower her whole life. Her extraordinarily long, blonde hair has the power to provide eternal youth, and the evil Gothel (voiced by Donna Murphy) - whom Rapunzel believes is her mother - relies on it to keep her young.
Every year, on Rapunzel's birthday, her nearby community sends thousands of lanterns into the sky, carrying the wish that their missing princess will return. On her 18th birthday, Rapunzel finally resolves to go outside and see these beautiful and mysterious lights from beyond the confines of her prison.
When handsome rogue Flynn Rider (voiced by Zachary Levi) happens to use the tower as a hideout, the feisty princess sees an ideal opportunity to break free. Knocking Flynn out with a frying pan, Rapunzel convinces him to help her escape. But can the pair evade the villainous Gothel?
