Friends Frankie and Nicola find their relationship changing when new arrivals enter their town in South Carolina. After Frankie's brother Neil hires a new waitress, Josee, Frankie finds in her a new friend which makes Nicola jealous. Both girls are abandoned however when Frankie develops a love interest and learns to become more independent.
