After 28 years in prison, aging crook Val (Al Pacino) is ready to party, and no one is happier to join him than his old accomplice, Doc (Christopher Walken). Meeting at the prison gates, the pair set out on a day-long bender, springing their old getaway driver Hirsh (Alan Arkin) out of a retirement home along the way. But Val's been around long enough to know something ain't right and guesses that Doc has been strong-armed into killing him by a mobster with a grudge (Mark Margolis). Doc has till 10am to take Val out or be killed himself, but the pals have hours to play hard before that fateful deadline.
