Gordon Douglas

Bing Crosby and Ann-Margret star in Gordon Douglas's colour remake of John Ford's classic monochrome western. A disparate group of people board a stagecoach to escape a small town that was recently attacked by Native Americans. Among their number is an alcoholic doctor, a prostitute, an embezzling bank clerk, a pregnant army officer's wife and a lawman. And, along the way, they pick up Ringo, an outlaw who has falsely been accused of murder. Ahead of them is a trying and eventful journey, overshadowed by the constant threat of another Native American attack. But perhaps they should be more concerned about what will happen when they arrive at their destination. Edited for content.
