Stuck in a job he hates, airport security worker Kirk (Jay Baruchel) struggles to get over his ex-girlfriend and his low self-esteem. Neither is easy when your old flame is best buddies with your parents and insists on coming to family gatherings with her new beau.
Fortunately, Kirk's luck is set to change when the stunningly beautiful Molly (Alice Eve) walks into his airport.
Following an act of chivalry, the two hit it off and Kirk is later shocked to discover that she has designs on him, although his best mates and fellow airport workers aren't convinced. As lewdly eloquent pal Stainer (T.J. Miller) explains using his failsafe rating system, Molly is a perfect ten, while Kirk is a five, making their relationship mismatched at best.
Unable to believe his luck and terrified of screwing up his one chance at happiness, Kirk must do all he can to make sure his unlikely relationship survives.
