Family animated adventure. In their second film the Rugrats head to Paris, where Chuckie's widowed father has been called on to mend an animated monster in a theme park. But it's all a ploy by Coco LaBouche, the park's boss, to get appointed head of a major company - she just needs to find a ready-made family to pass off as her own to clinch the deal. As she and her henchman Jean-Claude plan to ensnare Chuckie's dad, can the Rugrats stop him falling for her charms? With enough action to entertain the younger viewers and enough in-jokes to satisfy the grown-up children, Stig Bergqvist and Paul Demeyer's sequel to the popular original is both funny and, in portraying the struggle of Chuckie to cope with his mother's death, oddly moving. First screening on Film4.
