Drama. Harrison Ford and Annette Bening star in a story of redemption, directed by Mike Nichols. Henry Turner is a driven, arrogant lawyer, and a neglectful father and husband. All this changes when he enters a grocery store to buy some cigarettes while a hold-up is in progress and is shot in the head by the robber. He suffers massive brain damage and wakes from a coma with complete memory loss, no power over his limbs and no ability to speak. He is aided through his long physical rehabilitation by physiotherapist. But Henry also undergoes a spiritual rebirth, attempting to establish an authentic, loving relationships with his wife Sarah and daughter Rachel, who are initially unsure of him. He then tries to atone for his previous ruthlessness back at the law firm. The screenplay was written by Jeffrey Abrams, now far better known as Star Wars' writer-director-producer JJ Abrams.
