Nine-year-old Ramona Quimby (Joey King) is smart, caring and imaginative, but the accident-prone youngster struggles to get a look in with her perfect older sister 'Beezus' (Selena Gomez) around. What's more, her family is put under great strain when dad Robert (John Corbett)
loses his job. While Ramona feels totally overlooked at home and at school, she does have one confidante in the form of her kindly Aunt Bea (Ginnifer Goodwin).
But could Ramona be about to lose her to hunky neighbour Hobart (Josh Duhamel)?
An appealing cast make this cutesy family drama, based on Beverly Cleary's popular books, a perfectly pleasant watch. King is adorably scrappy as Ramona, while Gomez, the latest singer/actress off the Disney production line, passes muster in her first major film role.
