Already feted as a young genius, Orson Welles is looking for a new film idea. After an altercation with newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, his idea comes: a film about a megalomaniacal newsman. The film's slate number is RKO 281, but its title is the more legendary Citizen Kane - and Hearst will stop at nothing to destroy the film.
