Shane Carruth's psychological science-fiction thriller sees him play one of two geeks who toil away perfecting computer-error checking systems. Then they stumble across a side-effect that allows time travel. Rather than revealing their triumph, they use it to briefly hop in and out of time to make stock market killings. But when they stumble across a real killing they could avert, they find their attentions diverted. The movie picked up two awards at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, including the Grand Jury Prize.
