Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Picnic tells the story of a charming stranger, Hal Carter, who drifts into a small Kansas town and immediately disrupts the every day lives of its' residents. Among those residents is the beautiful Madge Owens, to whom Hal is inexplicably drawn to. Standing in their way is Alan Benson, Hal's old college buddy, who is also in love with Madge.
