Academy Award winners Al Pacino and Helen Mirren star in a compelling film written and directed by David Mamet. Exploring the client-attorney relationship between legendary music producer Phil Spector and defence attorney Linda Kenney Baden, who represented Spector during his first trial for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson.

A work of fiction inspired by those involved with the trial, Phil Spector recounts events from the perspective of Kenney Baden, beginning when lead attorney Bruce Cutler calls her in to consult on the case. Although at first convinced of Spector's guilt, she agrees to take on the challenges of the case and join the defence team.

Embarking on an intriguing journey as she gets to know the outlandish Spector - Phillip, as she calls him - she must determine whether to allow the music producer to testify in his own defence.

With captivating performances from two acting heavyweights, Phil Spector is an absorbing account of this headline-grabbing event, underscored by a soundtrack featuring Spector's music.
