Often considered as Alfred Hitchcock's finest achievement - a compendium of his greatest works with plenty of tricks - this 1959 thriller has everything. Taken at a breakneck pace, it's darkly comic, full of action, intrigue and a touch of romance. Dashing Cary Grant plays an ad-man who is mistaken for a double agent by sinister James Mason.
After numerous run-ins with Mason, Grant is determined to discover the truth about him and to tackle his nest of agents. Two of the scenes - when Grant is buzzed by a crop-dusting plane (pictured) and the finale on Mount Rushmore - have become all-time classics. Essential viewing.
