Timur Bekmambetov's fantasy thriller was Russia's biggest domestic-grossing film. Set in modern day Moscow, it sees two warring factions, the Warriors of Light and the Warriors of Darkness, maintain an uneasy truce that has existed since the 14th-century. By day, the Darkness patrol to ensure the Light keep the peace, when dark falls, the Light take over the Night Watch. But conflict threatens in the shape of young Yegor, who can become the catalyst for one side or the other to triumph. As the opposing forces battle for Yegor's soul, Anton of the Night Watch becomes his guardian in this action packed film.
