It's summer and working-class tomboy Mona meets the well-to-do and spoilt Tamsin in the Yorkshire countryside. An unlikely bond develops, as Tamsin and Mona both want to escape their lives. However, Mona's newly converted brother Phil wants to save them from the life of seductive decadence they have chosen.
