Kermit and co join forces with Ricky Gervais and Tina Fey in this madcap Muppet caper.
After saving their theatre, The Muppets are back together, and would-be manager Dominic Badguy (Gervais) is desperate to whisk them on an international tour.
Despite Kermit’s reluctance, Dominic manages to win the gang over, but he has an ulterior motive which becomes clear when Kermit is captured in Berlin and replaced by his criminal doppleganger Constantine.
While Kermit – mistaken for Constantine – is locked up in a Russian prison watched by guard Nadia (Fey), partners in crime Dominic and Constantine are free to plot the robbery of the century, while tagging along on The Muppets’ European tour.
Following their triumphant return to the big screen in 2011, the gang are back with this equally fun sequel, stocked with just as much comedy talent as before.
Gervais, Fey and Modern Family’s Ty Burrell (as a French Interpol inspector) join the cast this time out and have an absolute ball with a selection of dodgy accents and song-and-dance numbers.
Bobin returns to direct, this time co-writing the screenplay with Nicholas Stoller, and successfully delivers the non-stop stream of silly gags, hilarious songs and star cameos (including Lady Gaga, Salma Hayek and Christoph Waltz) that fans have come to know and love.
