This controversial film (Subtitled) is set in France and concentrates on the conflict between the police and the youths of the suburbs. Abdel (Abdel Ahmed Ghili) is injured by a police inspector during an interrogation. One of Abdels friend's Vinz (Vincent Cassel) swears that if Abdel dies, he will take revenge and shoot a policeman, this starts off many protests, and riots erupt throughout the estate.

To make the situation even worse, during the riots a policeman's revolver goes missing. Vinz finds the gun and the story becomes even more controversial over the actions of everyone involved!
