After seeing off mobster Frank D'Amico, Dave 'Kick-Ass' Lizewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Mindy 'Hit-Girl' Macready (Chloë Grace Moretz), are settling into normal life.
For Mindy this is attempting to become a regular teenager by joining a clique of high school mean girls, while for Dave it's banding together with Kick-Assinspired make-shift superhero league Justice Forever, led by Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey). Unfortunately, Chris D'Amico (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) is out to avenge the death of his father, and adopting supervillain alter-ego The Motherf**ker, locks Kick-Ass in his sights.
Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn have handed writing and directing duties to Wadlow for this superhero sequel that blends, yes, ass-kicking action and near-the-knuckle laughs. Swearier and more violent than its already provocative predecessor, Kick-Ass 2 is packed with plenty of high-energy fun and should satisfy audiences looking to indulge their sadistic side.
