Judy Holliday is re-united with director George Cukor and writer Garson Kanin in this lively comedy with Holliday playing Gladys Glover, a small town girl who comes to New York in search of fame and fortune. Using her savings, she rents a billboard in Columbus Circle with her name on it and, intriguing the city, becomes a TV personality. And fame brings male admirers, in the shape of Peter Lawford as Evan Adams III and Jack Lemmon as Pete Sheppard, both very different types.
