Richard Armitage gets caught in the eye of the storm in this action-packed disaster thriller.
The landscape of sleepy Midwestern town Silverton is about to change in a very dramatic way. A devastating series of tornadoes is closing in and that–to state the completely and utterly obvious–spells serious trouble for its unfortunate inhabitants. The focus here is on Gary (Armitage), a deputy head teacher who’s about to have one of those days.
Just moments after seeing his school torn apart, he has to grab one son and head right back into the open to save the other. Thankfully veteran storm chaser Pete (Walsh, Veep) and beautiful meteorologist Allison (Wayne Callies, The Walking Dead) are in town to try to document proceedings and agree to lend a helping hand.
If you’re looking for character development and engaging dialogue then this probably isn’t for you. On the other hand, if you’re looking to see mother nature throw one hell of a hissy fit then you’re in for a real treat. The special effects department certainly earn their money.
