Rupert Friend, Hannah Ware, Zachary Quinto and Ciarán Hinds star in Aleksander Bach's violent action thriller. In 1967, Ukrainian scientist Dr Litvenko created genetically modified people who had superior reflexes and intellect, but lacked emotion, fear or remorse: the perfect killing machines. But, seemingly troubled by his work, Litvenko vanished, taking his secrets with him. The programme was shut down and the killers, known as Agents, began work as assassins for a shadowy group called the Agency. Many, including The Syndicate terrorist organisation, tried to replicate the programme, but all failed. Decades later, discovering that Litvenko had left behind a daughter, The Syndicate realised they might find him if they could trace her to wherever she's now living. And so the hunt is on. The Agency sends Agent 47 to kill Litvenko's daughter Katia, while the mysterious John Smith appears out of nowhere to protect her. Or at least that's how things seem at the start.
