Sally Andrews stars as a 12-year-old girl living in 1950s New Zealand who is intent on persuading Queen Elizabeth II to visit her home town. However, the youngster's plans are threatened when she chooses to strike up a friendship with an elderly Maori woman who is accused of vandalism.
