The Harry Potter films, based on the publishing phenomenon that was JK Rowling's books, have provided the British film industry with an unerring string of hits. Bringing the series to its much anticipated conclusion, this rip-roaring finale definitely doesn't disappoint.

Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) have escaped Bellatrix Lestrange's (Helena Bonham Carter) clutches, but their getaway has come at a price. Dobby has been killed, meanwhile Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) has acquired the highly powerful Elder Wand from Dumbledore's tomb.

Still on a quest to destroy the Horcruxes that hold the pieces of Voldemort's soul, Harry breaks into Bellatrix's vault, where he finds a Horcrux in the form of Helga Hufflepuff 's magical cup. But when Harry returns to Hogwarts to retrieve the final fragment of Voldemort's soul, his nemesis' army is ready to retaliate, and as secrets are uncovered and wands are drawn, The Boy Who Lived finally faces his destiny.

The Harry Potter films, based on the publishing phenomenon that was JK Rowling's books, have provided the British film industry with an unerring string of hits. Bringing the series to its much-anticipated conclusion, this rip-roaring finale definitely doesn't disappoint. With the complex tracks already laid in Part 1, Part 2 can accelerate full tilt toward thrills, emotional resonance and visual razzle dazzle.

Among the franchise's usual high-calibre British cast, Alan Rickman and Maggie Smith reprise their roles as Severus Snape and Professor McGonagall, while Radcliffe, who has made convincing steps outside the franchise with The Woman in Black, hints at possible future success with his most mature performance to date.

This enchanting end to the trio's decade-long journey is everything its many fans will have hoped for and more.
