Gorillas in the Mist (1988)

Directed by
Michael Apted

Sigourney Weaver stars as Dian Fossey in this dramatic true account about Fossey's study of gorillas, and her efforts to stop the decimation of the endangered apes.

Dian travelled to Rwanda, Africa to enable her to research the affects poaching had on two rare breeds of mountain gorilla.

Whilst studying these gorillas her interest turned from plain research to passion and finally obsession.

Not even her live-in lover, Bob Campbell (Bryan Brown) could stop her from putting her life at risk to protect the Gorilla's from pachers and animal traders.
