A fast-paced, light-hearted thriller featuring such rising stars as Katie Holmes and Sarah Polley, Go relates how one drug deal has far-reaching effects on the lives of several young Californians. The deal is the centrepiece of the film, and is seen from three different perspectives.
Simon Baines (Desmond Askew) works in an all-night grocery store in Los Angeles with Claire (Katie Holmes, pictured left), Ronna (Sarah Polley) and Mannie (Nathan Bexton, right). One night, he ditches work in favour of a hedonistic trip to Las Vegas, where plans involve gambling, drug-taking and womanising. Ronna is forced to stand in for Simon, but when soap actors Zack (Jay Mohr) and Adam (Scott Wolf) come looking for him, she agrees to buy some drugs from dealer Todd Gains (Timothy Olyphant).
Little does Ronna know, however, that the deal is a sting that the actors have been forced to set up by an over-zealous undercover police officer called Burke (William Fichtner). The duo find themselves spending the supposedly festive night with him and his wife Irene (Jane Krakowski), before becoming involved in a car collision. Not that things are much rosier in Las Vegas for Simon and his friend Marcus - things take a decidedly troublesome turn for them when they visit a strip club.
