High-class, often stunning adaptation of Elmore Leonard's comic novel. John Travolta (pictured) plays Chili Palmer, a loan shark for the Miami mob, who arrives in LA to collect a debt from Harry Zimm (Gene Hackman), a producer of tacky monster films. However Chili decides to stay and pitches Harry an idea for a movie instead. Soon Chili finds himself in his element, with predators of the Hollywood variety.
Great fun all round, with some superb performances (especially from Travolta and Danny DeVito as a movie star). Highly recommended.
