Napoleon Dynamite director Jared Hess again turns his attention to the theme of the lonely, awkward teenager in this comedy about sci-fi fan Benjamin. Desperately wanting to be a writer, Benjamin asks his favourite author, Dr Ronald Chevalier for feedback on his work-in-progress manuscript Yeast Lords: The Bronco Years. However, suffering from a severe case of writer's block, Chevalier steals and passes off the novel as his own, starting a chain of events that sets Benjamin out on a mission to prove that the work is his.
