Roman Polanski's excellent 1988 thriller stars Harrison Ford as Dr Richard Walker, an American doctor searching for his wife who has mysteriously vanished from their Paris hotel.
Trying to locate her in a strange country without being able to speak the language proves difficult, especially with police who don't care and bureaucrats who are more interested in filling out forms. However, with some help from a young female drug trafficker, Walker discovers he has been drawn into international espionage and a global terrorist plot.
This fantastic edge-of-the-seat film quickly draws you in and keeps you interested. And there's a superb score by Ennio Morricone to savour, too. Highly recommended.
