Prequel to the 1973 horror classic. A priest-turned-archaeologist, who lost his faith after witnessing the horrors of World War II, is sent to investigate the finding of a perfectly preserved church buried in Kenya. Joined by a priest from the Vatican and a doctor who has also experienced the brutality of war, they discover that the church, which was built 1,500 years before other churches in the area, was used as protection against an evil force which has now been disturbed by the excavations.
Exorcist: The Beginning is a Film programme that first aired in 2004 and has been classified a 15 certificate.
