World War II drama about an Allied prisoner-of-war football team that takes on the German national team in a propaganda match played in Paris. A former English pro assembles a team which includes Polish, Czech, English and American players, hoping to engineer an escape during the match with the help of the Resistance. Real-life footballers in the cast include Pele, Bobby Moore, Ossie Ardiles and Russell Osman.
