The lives of many are devastated when a major earthquake rips through Los Angeles and reduces the city to ruins. Meanwhile architect Graff attempts to rescue his estranged wife, while helping out with the ongoing rescue efforts taking place around him and while trying to determine what has happened to his mistress Denise.
