Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reunite in the Farrelly brothers' long-awaited follow-up to 1994's cult classic.
Two decades have passed since Lloyd (Carrey) and Harry (Daniels) last wreaked havoc on our screens and it turns out the former has spent the ensuing period wheelchair-bound in a mental institution. Harry has never lost hope that his friend will snap out of his catatonic state, though, visiting him every day and even changing the odd diaper. If that all sounds a bit too serious for a Farrelly brothers' film, fret not. Lloyd has - of course - been faking the whole time and when he finally calls time on the gag the dim-witted pals are reunited in earnest. There's never a dull moment when these two are concerned, though, and sooner rather than later they're off to Maryland to track down the daughter Harry never knew he had. Hijinks inevitably ensue.
While admittedly not vintage Farrelly brothers fare, there should be enough bad taste, old-school slapstick and general outrageousness to keep fans happy.
