Lars Von Trier's experimental studio-based stars Nicole Kidman as a woman on the run from gangsters who hides out in the town of Dogville. At first accepted, as the gangsters after her intensify their hunt, so her position becomes harder and the once-welcoming townspeople begin to inflict indignities and cruelties upon her.
