Bored, boring accountant Jonathan (Ewan McGregor) moves from company to company, auditing books and failing to form any relationships, when a chance encounter and mixed-up mobiles with the suave Wyatt (Hugh Jackman) introduces him to a heady secret society of casual encounters in hotel bedrooms. When Jonathan meets the beautiful S (Michelle Williams) he begins to yearn for something deeper.
But who is S really, and what is her connection to Wyatt? Events take a sinister turn when Jonathan finds himself suspected of murder and scrambling to save his own life.
In this seductive drama, no one is quite who they seem and the red herrings are littered liberally through the labyrinthine plot. McGregor gives good geek as the isolated numbers nerd whose loneliness leaves him wide open to manipulation, while Jackman and Williams play to their strengths as irresistible alpha male and wide-eyed damsel in distress. Twisting thriller of sex, lies and cell phones.
