A two-part adaptation of Charles Dickens's novel, following the changing fortunes of the eponymous hero (Hugh Dancy) as he fights to find love and happiness in a harsh and unforgiving world. Along the way, he encounters the support of the cheerful Mr Micawber (Michael Richards, 'Seinfeld'), and the machinations of the nefarious Uriah Heep.
