Wartime drama based on real life events, about Col William Orlando Darby, who set up the US Rangers, an elite squad trained, like Britain's Commandos, to be deployed behind enemy lines in WWII. From the initial resistance to his ideas through to their deployment in Sicily, mainland Italy and North Africa, the film follows the Rangers' increasing successes.
