Henry Koster

Henry Koster's wartime romance stars Robert Taylor as Captain Brad Parker, who is stationed in Britain as the Allies prepare for D-Day when 3,000,000 men, 11,000 planes and 4,000 ships club together to invade Normandy and determine what the world's future is.Captain Parker then falls for Valerie Russell and has now fallen into a love triangle with the commander. But Parker has a wife back home and Valerie is promised to the commander Lt Colonel John Wynter (Richard Todd).

When the two men's paths cross on the eve of invasion, they discover camaraderie overcomes jealousy over the lovely Valerie. Both on the battlefield and off, this story shows courage and sacrifice throughout, the great love story of the Great War.
